Innovative Way To Learn

Law teaching in Bhagalpur dates back to the year 1890 when the Calcutta University granted affiliation for it to the T.N.J. College, which is now well known as TN B. College. T.N.J. College was founded as an affiliated College of the Calcutta University in the year 1887 as a result of the donations and efforts of Rai Bahadur Tej Narayan Singh, a Zamindar, Babu Jagannath Sahai, a Pleader and Zamindar and the House of Banaily. After a few years, the law teachings some how was - discontinued only to be again taken up in the year 1952 in the said TN.J, College due to the efforts of the then District and Session Judge Sri Krishna Sahai. The Law Department was inaugurated bu Rai Bahadur Ranjit Sinha, Advocate and Presided by Late Uday Narayan Advocate. Some Law books of the present law library have been presented by Kumar Taranand Singh, Sri K.Lal. Bar-at-Law, Rai Bahadur Sri Mukteshwar Prasad, Advocate and Rai Bahadur Sri Ranjit Sinha, Advocate.

I derive special pleasure in writing this note as the principal of T.N.B.Law College, Bhagalpur. This esteemed instituition ha made it's special position in the field of legal education in the state of Bihar through its service to the nation by providing several judges, politicians, administrative and law officers and learned advocates to its credit. This instituition also aspires to strengthen the Bar and the Bench by providing skillful law students as a solid base to the administration of Justice in our country.

  • Forcing someone to perform humiliating acts or tasks.
  • Any form of bullying that causes discomfort, fear, or distress.

Anti-Ragging Measures

We have implemented the following measures to ensure a ragging-free campus:

  1. Zero Tolerance Policy: Any student found involved in ragging will face strict disciplinary action, which may include suspension, expulsion, or legal proceedings.
  2. Awareness Programs: Regular workshops, seminars, and orientation sessions are conducted to educate students about the consequences of ragging and promote a culture of respect and empathy.
  3. Support Systems: A dedicated anti-ragging cell and helpline are available for students to report any incidents of ragging confidentially. Our faculty and staff are trained to handle such complaints with sensitivity and urgency.
  4. Vigilance: Increased monitoring in hostels, classrooms, and other campus areas to prevent and address any instances of ragging promptly.
